Tax dollars need to be allocated to the right places. The people’s money needs to be used for the people. That is why it is a priority to make sure the money is going where it needs to. My goal is to locate overspending, look for areas in need, and find better ways to serve Wisconsin.
Nothing too drastic: It is never a good idea to flip things upside down. It is better to start slow and implement changes over time. My priority will be understand where the money is going and why. Taxes can be a benefit to all of us, but only if they are used in the ways we want and need.
Surplus: There is a surplus of money for Wisconsin and the big question is what to do with it? My response is patience. It is tempting to see a large amount of money and to use it right away.
What next: I will find tax cuts and relief, but a balanced budget and proper tracking of funds will be the most important step for Wisconsin.
